Su Abuela Materna Belen Hernandez de Madan una santera famosa oriunda de la cuidad de la habana hija de Obatala. Su padre Eligio Madan hijo de Osun y Awo de Orunmaila con El Odu Ogbe wale, su abuela materna. La Famosa santera santiaguera Rosa Torrez (Shango Gumi) quien fuero una de las primeras santeras de esa ciudad y nieta de Ma. Braulia negra liberta de esa localidad; Su madre Veneranda Constanten hija de Obatala, dedico toda su vida a la labor religiosa fundamentalmente en la santeria. Ingeniero en Electricidad, Instituto superior Politecnico Jose A. Echevarria (ISPJAE) Inventor y musico. Siendo un nino se inicio en el mundo de la musica como violinista y despues como aprendiz de la percusion afro-cubana. Curso estudios de electrividad en la escuela de Artes u Ofricio de su ciudad natal y en 1978 egresa de la ISPJAE conel titulo de ingenieria electrica, alli tambien se desarrolllo en la musica y en la danza afro-cubana. En la decada de los anos 80 desempena los cargos de director de ciencia y tecnica y mas tarde como vicepresidente tecnico y especialista de la industria de la produccion de instrumentos musicales del ministerio de cultura. Fantastic stories

I have enjoyed reading all four books about Max and Ethan and the insanity of dealing with their clients. I was overjoyed to see that Max finally admitted he loves Ethan. It's impossible to have such an intense physical relationship without ones heart getting involved. I was though very upset that the relationship between these two men was tested by a client who only wanted to cause trouble for the men. I do love the idea of a gypsy curse as the cause of the multimillion dollar winning streak. Great sex between these two men and if that bothers you then don't get the series because hot, steaming sex is frequent.

This is the fourth book in the Sin City series but this can be read as a standalone. This is the first book I had the chance to read about this series and I was a bit worried about not being able to understand this one. It surely could have been helpful to read the first three to have a deeper understanding of the MCs, Ethan and Max, and how they came to become a couple.
Max is the owner of a The Elite Poole, a security agency, and a Dom. Ethan is his sub, his boyfriend and he works for him. They live together and Max takes care of Ethan in everything. They are in love but Ethan is craving a thing that Max doesn’t seem to be keen to.

Ethan's smile faded. This didn't bode well. The walls were rising so high around Max that the man was barely visible behind them.
"I'm not asking you for anything, Max. Not, like—whatever you're thinking. Look, let's forget I said
anything. Rings are dumb. It was a dumb It was a dumb idea."
He felt foolish as Max continued to stare at him.
"I mean, look at Rob Rexum," Ethan rambled on. "I bet that guy never thought
that exchanging rings would result in the worst experience of his life. Rings change people. Marriage does. There are plenty of couples who stay together without making anything official and
they're fine. They don't need—"
"Ethan."
He took a deep breath before sighing. "Yes, Max?"
"Finish your dessert, please."
He slumped. "Yes, Max."

Things get complicated when they get a new client, a very rich client, that never seems to stop winning. After some pushing from Ethan, Max assigns him to Rob Rexum, called the Slot Bandit for his winning luck. He never loses.
Max doesn’t trust him because he can feel that Rexum is gay, even if the man says that he’s straight and divorced to a woman.

During the book we find out that he wants to have a man companion by his side to get revenge to his ex-wife. She has always thought he was gay or bi but he has always denied it because he thinks himself as a straight man. Now, he wants to pass as a gay man so his ex-wife will get a heart attack. He wants revenge because he says that his wife ruined his life, that she has never appreciated what he has given to her. Money is what Rob thinks is more important than love, life, family. She wanted his soul and not “dead things”, like she likes to call money and gifts.

A lot of things happen in this book. Max doesn’t trust Rob, especially him being too close to Ethan. Doubts will cloud his mind and it will almost break the connection and the love he has for Ethan.
But don’t worry… Ethan will never allow anyone to take his Max away, and after Max gets back from where Rob's ex-wife lives, we'll find out why Rexum always wins.

Ethan and Max are back on the job!

4.5 stars - Ethan and Max are back to work with a new client. This time, Ethan is assigned to protect Rob Rexum, aka the Slot Bandit, a guy who has been cleaning it up in the casinos. He can’t seem to lose and is now basking in his winnings. The Elite Poole is forced to put some major restrictions onto his contract trying to keep Rob in line, but they get crossed a few times. Especially where Ethan is concerned.

Up to this point, Rob been trying to get revenge on his ex-wife, who accused him of being gay. So, he uses Ethan as a cover for the media, etc. to try and prove to the ex-wife that is precisely the case. When Rob starts to think he may actually be gay, he confides in Ethan and seeks Ethan’s help in discovering for sure. This causes some strife between Ethan and Max, but Ethan, now feeling a sort of friendship with the client, convinces Max to allow him to fulfill the contract.

There are some more twists and turns surrounding this case involving the ex-wife, Gypsy curses, challenging bets, etc. It takes some digging on Max’s part to get to the bottom of it all, and one final bet that sets everything right again. I love watching Max and Ethan’s relationship evolving and seeing them get through various issues which allow their relationship to grow. These guys have a great dynamic. It seems that Ethan is getting the short end of the stick sometimes and that he is taking what he can get while he can, but he isn’t a doormat by any means. These two have some of the hottest scenes with some really smexy dirty talk, but they also have great dialog outside of the bedroom as well. I’m still thoroughly hooked on these two and am jumping right into the next installment.

Since childhood, Ann Castro has been surrounded by birds and other animals. Both parents being medical doctors her father a psychiatrist and neurologist, her mother a general practitioner who also bred budgeriars Ann was introduced to behavioural, as well as medical topics at an early age. The author has been involved with parrots for many years. She teaches clicker training for birds and gives advice to parrots owners regarding all issues related to their pets. Ann Castro is a certified parrot behavior consultant and accredited member of the IAABC. Her area of specialization is the resocialization of birds with behavioral issues. In 2003, Ann Castro founded a not-for-profit organization, the AdlA Papageienhilfe gGmbH. AdlA stands for Amigos de las Aves which means friends of the birds . Papageienhilfe is the German word for parrot aid. The aim of the AdlA Papageienhilfe is to improve the relationships and understanding between birds and owners and thus minimizing the number of birds losing their homes. Ann Castro's advice is sought by pet owners, veterinaries and pet shops alike. She has also appeared in various TV shows as a parrot expert. Ann Castro, a born Canadian who currently lives in Germany, holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Toronto and a Masters degree in Business Administration from York University, Canada.

Fun for Parakeet owners, a Must for Parrot owners!

I have seen clicker training with dogs, monkeys and even rabbits. But I was skeptical that a small bird could actually be trained. I was wrong! My two budgies are completely different in personality, and clicker training works for both. Schnappi caught on very fast. She learnt to follow the target stick right away und does tricks now, like riding her own little skateboard.

My second bird Snoopy spent time outside before I got her and is afraid of her own shadow. With clicker training she started enjoying life again. She learnt fast what the "click" means and has fewer panic attacks. Soon, she'll be ready for the target stick. Now I can actually "do something" with my birds rather than just talk to them.

The step-by-step instructions in "The Bird School" by Ann Castro are very easy to follow, and the pictures are worth "a thousand words." To my surprise the book came with a clicker and a target stick!

But reading the book also brought back sad memories. Years ago, I had a friend who always showed up with bite marks on her arms, inflicted by her own parrot. I found the explanation in the "Bird School": The bird was lonely and bored. The punishment for biting (screaming and yelling) was his reward, and that's why it never stopped. I wish a book like this had been available then!

Clicker training is a fun activity for budgies and other small birds. For parrots, clicker training is even more important to socialize them and make life enjoyable for birds and owners alike.

Clear and detailed advice on how to train your birds

I've been dismayed when I've looked at other parrot training books. Many of them describe parrot behavior as attempts to dominate their human. If you read science about birds, they aren't pack animals who try to dominate you. Many of their behaviors come from the fact that they are prey, not predators, and need to learn to feel safe and take time to build trust with their human. Many of their problem behaviors come from fear and stress. This book is extremely thorough and describes how to train your bird using reinforcing behavioral techniques. It breaks down how to train your bird different tricks and behaviors while building trust between you. I have an African Grey and he's my first bird. I got this book because he hasn't built enough trust to step up and he likes to bite or pretend to bite me for fun. Based on the progress we've made already, I feel confident that my bird will be able to step up and will stop biting me if I continue to use the training methods in this book. Parrots are so smart, I'm happy I can work with him in a way that keeps him from being bored and getting destructive. I'd say this is the best most thorough book for bird training and I'm really pleased I bought it. I'm even more pleased when I see my bird learning new skills.

This book is a must read for all bird owners; of any kind. It is very informative and beautifully written. It will guide anyone to the clicker way of training. I suggest it for anyone with parrots. After my first session with my bird it was working great! At last, something to read, something to do for your bird/parrot that really works.

Great book to study for Naplex..

This is among the best books that I have read so far. I really liked different sections of topics covered for Naplex with format similar to Naplex. Best thing about this book is the CDROM that came with the book and has many questions in real Naplex like format with full explanations, why the answer is right or wrong. I have heard good things from many of my friends who have cleared Naplex and are working as Pharmacists. I would highly recommend this book to everyone serious about Naplex.

This book was really, really helpful in preparing me for the NAPLEX because it has plenty of questions to work on. Every question has an explanation in the back that you can look at and the authors even cite where the answer came from. The CD was also very helpful too. The book and the CD arrived in pristine condition about 3 days after I ordered it.
